Household appliances are devices that make housekeeping more convenient. These have transformed the lives of humans and improved general health and nutrition. Some types of appliances, such as cooker lighters, refrigerators, freezers, grinders, blenders and microwave ovens, are used to prepare food in the kitchen. Others, such as washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and vacuum cleaners, are used for cleaning, and some are used for recreation and entertainment such as TV. Some appliances are electric and some are non-electric.
